Being an Eclipse Web Media intern means that you will gain considerable experience and skills needed to compete for a full time web design/development job after graduation. Sometimes our interns end up joining us full time. As an intern, your job is not to fetch coffee and do busy work - we want you to have creative input in everything that you do!

JOB DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES
Work with a team to complete various types of web development projects for clients
Meet and speak with clients and possibly manage entire projects on your own
Often be expected to make design and development decisions on your own
Train to enhance your current skills and to learn new ones
Have the time management skills and work ethic to finish your tasks and and projects on time
Be organized and on time

PREFERRED SKILLS
Advanced to expert knowledge of HTML and CSS along with a good understanding of web standards and cross browser compatibility
Understanding of how PHP works and integrates with HTML so you can work well with our backend developers
Good web design aesthetic - have a good idea of proper design (graphics, layouts, formats, etc.) for different situations
Experience in Photoshop or Illustrator

SKILLS THAT ARE A PLUS
Flash development - Actionscript 3.0 and integrating with XML
Good knowledge of Javascript - develop Javascript applications instead of using Flash whenever possible
Great web design aesthetic - expert knowledge of Photoshop/Illustrator, able to create beautiful and user friendly website layouts and graphics (this applies to interns who might want to focus in graphic design)
Information Design experience
Video Production experience
WordPress - able to create custom templates and set up sites in WordPress

COMPENSATION
All interns are compensated in some way, usually with a stipend, however the level of compensation depends on individual expertise and work performance throughout the internship.
You may take school credit.

Compensation will range from $500-$1,500 for the internship depending upon skill and performance.

Internship Duration: 6 Months from start date
30-40 hours/week
In the office Monday - Thursday (9:30-4:30)
