This is a full time permanent position starting ASAP

RESPONSIBILITIES

We are looking for a team player with excellent communication skills and expertise in building high quality, compelling and usable customer facing interfaces. Project tasks are not limited to, but include, web development, GUI design, data architecture, Flash development, mobile development.

We are looking for experience in the following tools and technologies:

? Be responsible for the design, layout, visual appearance, and usability of internal applications;
? Work with the application developer and other internal resources to implement the design of a web-based application;
? Be responsible for specification of application layout, organization, navigation, graphic design, digital art, and may assist with content classification, content development, testing and maintenance;
? Working knowledge of UI development methodology and processes. Must be able to demonstrate an understanding of all phases of web product design and development;
? Knowledge of Flash Development, and experience in building data-driven, rich internet applications that communicate with PHP or other server-side technologies;
? Working knowledge of HTML/DHTML, JavaScript and CSS and experience in implementing jQuery, AJAX to build interactive interfaces;
? Excellent working knowledge of CSS3 and HTML5 and their cross browser limitations;
? Knowledge of PHP & MySQL is an asset; and
? Experience with mobile development as it relates to iOS and/or Adobe AIR platform is an asset.

EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS

The successful candidate will have a majority of the following experience and skills:

? Bachelors degree in Engineering, Computer Science or Information Technology preferred, or related experience;
? Minimum four (4) years experience designing corporate business Intranet sites;
? Extensive experience designing web-based applications;
? Minimum three (3) years experience developing site prototypes using tools such as Adobe Photoshop, Microsoft Vision, and/or Microsoft Office;
? Minimum three (3) years developing business graphics and artwork using Adobe Illustrator, Visio, or similar graphics packages;
? Experience with content management and publishing;
? Experience with HTML, CSS;
? Proven ability to deliver projects on schedule according to established deadlines;
? Excellent written and verbal communications skills working with technical and non-technical business users;
? The ability to work both independently and in a team environment;
? Familiarity with web technologies and XML;
? Experience with an on-line retail organization, B2B, or B2C is a definite asset; and
? Enthusiastic with excellent organizational skills.
