Our client is seeking a Java Developer to do server side development, web development, live computation and multi-threading. We're looking for Software Developers from the software development industry.

Note: this position is located in downtown Toronto. You will be expected to work onsite every day.
You will be working with a small group of very talented developers in a trading environment on cutting-edge technology for a high-performance financial institution. Although our client is a large organization, they're looking for someone who can work effectively in a start-up type of environment. Development projects will include Global Derivatives, anything from pricing models, to reports, trading, etc.
Requirements:
Highly skilled software developer with 5+ years experience within software development firms building scalable applications
Sound knowledge of object-oriented software engineering methodologies, object-oriented analysis, design and programming and design patterns
Experience in designing and implementing complex, high performance, multithreaded and scalable distributed object-oriented applications
Strong communication and interpersonal skills; able to interact effectively with business line owners/users
Energetic and passionate about development with demonstrated ability in building simple, reliable solutions.
Experience working within small to large teams as well as independently
Innovative problem-solver able to see the big picture on both the project and technical sides of problems
Results-oriented, able to handle multiple projects in a fast-paced trade floor environment
Skills that are nice to have but not necessary:
Hands-on experience with mobile applications (BlackBerry, Android) development
Solid skills in database design, development, and administration
