WordPress/PHP Developer (Buckhead)

More infoSweetjack.com/ Cumulus Media, both headquartered in Atlanta, are currently looking for a talented, motivated individual to lead development of Wordpress-based corporate sites, internal CMS, and a slate of new B2C media sites over the next 4-5 months. You'll be given strong creative and architectural guidance and then expected to convert this input into an engaging and informative interactive experiences. This is a role that demands excellent communication skills, as well as the demonstrated ability to work in close collaboration with project managers and non-technical product owners.

Requirements:
? 3-5 years hands-on experience with WordPress, using the API, developing plugins, developing themes and optimizing for high performance environments.
? 3-5 years hands-on experience using a relational database, with demonstrated experience using MySQL 5.1 or later.
? Strong JavaScript skills, preferably using jQuery.

Looking for:
? The ideal candidate will have a portfolio that leads to comments like, "Wow. That's WordPress?!"
? Ability to work quickly, taking basic guidance and running with it full speed.
? Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a demonstrated desire to clearly document code and to communicate technical requirements on a non-technical level.
? Background working on other online media sites a big plus.
? A Software Engineering degree or equivalent work experience.
? Competitive compensation based on experience. Sweetjack/Cumulus is located in Buckhead. This will be a full-time contract position working at our main office, reporting directly to the VP of Digital Media. Working remotely is not an option for this position.
