Programmer / IT Technician (Tate, GA)

The Programmer/IT Technician will be responsible for these and other duties;

? Participate actively in a team-oriented environment to develop a variety of websites, intranets, extranets and web-based applications
? Convert data from various formats (MS Excel, MS ACCESS, etc.) into developed databases
? Design and add new features: solve problems in new and creative ways on a daily basis by creating scripts, programs and interfaces.
? Testing the websites and web-based applications to identify any technical problems and hitches
? Maintain existing codebase and web-based applications, to include troubleshooting bugs
? Determine any new functionality that the site must support and developing PHP/FLEX content based on practical approved layout.
? Understand the current communication technologies such as TCP/IP, Proxies, FTP, etc. and the different types of databases such as SQL, MySQL etc.
? Supporting desktops and laptops, printers, scanners, copiers, productivity software, servers, databases, telecom equipment and service. Assists in preparation and installation of peripheral devices.
? Install and configure new computers and telephones
? Provide technical support to end-users: diagnose hardware and software problems (on-call when needed)
? Train users in various aspects of computers including basic operation, maintenance, repair, assembly, basic security concepts, and malware removal.
? Manage and guarantee the surveillance and gate systems are operational and serviced at all time.
? Orders and inventories spare parts, including stripping surplus equipment for usable parts
? Undertake the day to day operation of backup systems including rotation of backup tapes

REQUIREMENTS:

? H.S. Diploma required, some college preferred.
? Skills in FLEX, Flash and Adobe AIR platform would be helpful
? Self-Starter: looking for candidates who can jump in quickly without a lot of direction
? Great problem solver and very well organized.
? Must be extremely adept at working in a fast-paced, ever changing workplace.
? 2 - 5 years of proven success in a similar role as a PHP programmer with all the relevant skills including an expert knowledge of PHP and MySQL, preferably in a similar industry.
