Web Application Developer-SQL & Adobe Flex (North Mississauga )

Term: Full time, permanent
Location: North Mississauga, ON (Airport Rd & 427)
Compensation: $80k Full Benefits

The Web Application Developer will be responsible for supporting the existing infrastructure as
well as develop new technologies.

The ideal candidate must display exceptional engineered programming performance as well as
excellent written and oral skills with demonstrated interpersonal and organization abilities to be
able to advance in managing team of programmers. A candidate for this position must be able to
work in a varied, fast paced environment. Flexibility and tolerance is a necessity.

Qualifications:

-The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required

Education and/or Experience:
? Bachelors degree in computer science, MIS, or related experience
? Must possess superior skills in Transact-SQL
? Must possess superior skills in Adobe Flex
? Must possess strong skills in Object Oriented ColdFusion Development
? Minimum of three years of Adobe Flex experience
? Experience in structured environment with increasing levels of responsibility and
complexity
? Previous experience with online payment gateway API integration a plus
? The ability to communicate and teach non-technical users
? Excellent written and oral communications skills
? Strong attention to detail
? Ability to work additional hours as needed
? Respond proactively to training, technical support and customer service needs in line
with provided guidelines
? Flash video/animation experience a plus

Key Performance Measures:
? Effective coordination of project vs. task needs vs. operational requirements with
colleagues and the organization
? Successful delivery of assigned application development tasks and projects
? Effective training and support of user communities with Web technologies and tools
? Positive contributions to the organization beyond the scope of normal responsibilities
? Ability to learn quick and eagerness in advancing knowledge-base

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

? Maintain and enhance existing Web applications
? Develop new Web applications as identified by the management through packaged and
customized applications
? Perform sustainability analysis on current Web applications as well as introduce new
performance measures
? Perform complete testing of Web applications (unit and system), engaging users as necessary.
? Conduct all user acceptances testing, and report results
? Develop database-driven Web interfaces for rapid, real-time information sharing

The Ideal candidate will also possess the following skills:

? Self motivated, detail-oriented and organized
? Experience with hardware and software issues
? Proficient in Internet related applications such as E-Mail clients, FTP clients and Web Browsers
? Strong programmer with a mind of an Engineer
? Strong mathematical skills; ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry
? Able to work independently and efficiently to meet deadlines
? Able to promptly answer support related email, phone calls and other electronic
communications
? Excellent communication (oral and written), interpersonal, organizational, and
presentation skills
? Able to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule Form
