YOUR DUTIES
Daily activities may include the following:

Quickly designing Splash Pages and One Page Landing Sites from scratch or existing templates
Updating an existing website into another language (content provided by client)
Designing websites from scratch
Customizing templates for client or internal job request
Collaborating with team members to initiate website builds efficiently and within the brand guidelines provided by clients
Providing time lines and meeting them
Performing quality control checks to ensure all project requirements are met
Keeping management informed of progress and problems with assigned projects
Keeping detailed records and files of project development

Our sites get millions of visitors on a monthly basis and we are looking for a talented and experienced Design and User Experience Lead who has a strong grasp of user interface design. . . ideally with experience from a listing service category (e.g. travel, hotel, auto, real estate, ecommerce, etc.) and familiar with search, results, details, mapping, advertising, and SEO elements to name a few.

The Design and User Experience Lead will work closely with our Development and Product Management teams on a daily basis. This individual will be responsible for all stages of design including conceptual design, information architecture, interaction design, and visual design for multiple product lines. The successful candidate must be able to think strategically while executing with great attention to detail. They will also be engaging with different stakeholders ranging from customers to company executives and must have the ability to guide the user feedback process as well as clearly articulate the impact of design choices on business value.

Key Responsibilities
? Own the creative and design vision for our portfolio of websites and mobile applications. Must not only create compelling experience, but can also plan for growth.
? Create engaging, easy-to-use/understand design solutions that address complex business and generate transactions/leads.
? Understand multiple requirements to determine target audience and objectives, analyze user and business needs, and set scope and interface strategies.
? Produce interaction, site maps, wire frames, design prototypes, and functional design specifications.
? Work closely with Engineering, Product management and QA teams from conception through development and implementation cycles
? Participate in the development of multi-variate test plans

Experience

? 5+ years of UX design experience and expertise in interaction design fundamentals.
? Excellent visual design skills and a thorough understanding of graphic design/layout principles for web and mobile.
? Knowledge of best practices in user web/mobile interaction
? Proficient with Photoshop, Illustrator, Omnigraffle/Visio or comparable software tools
? Comfortable working with HTML and CSS
? Proven ability to juggle multiple projects and priorities
? Strong communication and presentation skills
? Experience with creating within an agile product development process
? Experience designing user experience for mobile platforms
? Experience with HTML5
? Experience conducting usability testing and utilizing MVT and/or A/B testing tools
Skills and Requirements
The ideal candidate will have the following skills:
? Effective oral and written communication and presentation skills.
? Ability to communicate ideas verbally and visually - illustrate concepts through sketches, mockups, wire frames and rapid prototyping.
? Must be able to multi-task and work to deadline, without sacrificing quality.
? Ability to articulate business strategy and branding issues, and to balance these with user needs and technological constraints.
? Must bring a portfolio demonstrating both creative thinking and solid design to solve business challenges.
? Passionate about creating simple, clear and seamless user experiences.
? Strong interest in design and technology trends.
? Able to create a culture of innovation
